Omaha Performing Arts Terms of Service

Harassment and Bullying Policy

I understand that Omaha Performing Arts is committed to providing a work environment that is free of unlawful discrimination. This policy includes the prohibition of harassment based upon age, race, creed, color, disability, marital status, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, military service, genetic information or any other characteristic protected under federal, state, or local law. This policy also forbids sexual harassment in the work environment. Complaints alleging harassment based upon protected characteristics will be handled in the same manner as complaints alleging sexual harassment. All volunteers are responsible for understanding, adhering to and strictly enforcing this policy.

I understand that Omaha Performing Arts will not in any instance tolerate bullying behavior. Volunteers found in violation of this policy will be disciplined, up to and including revoking Ambassador privileges and active status.

Safety Policy

I understand that Omaha Performing Arts is a drug-free workplace, Omaha Performing Arts has a longstanding commitment to provide a safe, quality-oriented and productive work environment consistent with the standards of the community in which the company operates. Alcohol and drug abuse pose a threat to the health and safety of O-pa employees, patrons and to the security of the company’s equipment and facilities. All volunteers are prohibited from:

  1. Using, possessing, buying, selling, manufacturing or dispensing an illegal drug (to include possession of drug paraphernalia).
  2. b. Being under the influence of alcohol or an illegal drug as defined in this policy.
  3. Excessive use or abuse of alcohol.

Whistle Blower Policy

If a volunteer has knowledge of illegal or dishonest fraudulent activity, the volunteer must contact their immediate supervisor or Human Resources. The volunteer must exercise sound judgment to avoid baseless allegations. A volunteer who intentionally files a false report of wrongdoing will be subject to discipline up to and including separation from the ambassador program. Whistleblower protections are provided in two important areas -- confidentiality and against retaliation. Insofar as possible, the confidentiality of the whistleblower will be maintained. However, identity may have to be disclosed to conduct a thorough investigation, to comply with the law and to provide accused individuals their rights of defense. O-pa will not retaliate against a whistleblower. Any whistleblower who believes they are being retaliated against must contact HR immediately. Protection against retaliation does not include immunity for any personal wrongdoing that is alleged and investigated.

Photo Release

Omaha Performing arts may take photo or video during any given event that Ambassadors may be present at. The photo release states that you give O-pa permission to use such footage that may include you. While O-pa may elect to use the footage for any purpose – in all now known and yet-to-be-created media, in any language in perpetuity – it will typically be used in materials supporting the ambassador program. Examples of typical and possible use are:

If a volunteer needs to revoke use of their image for any reason, they must contact the Volunteer Services Manager to update the individuals approval of this policy. Any footage used in such time as the volunteer was in agreement with this policy, may not be subject to being pulled from media use, unless due to extenuating circumstances.
